Well mom named the new females. The black banded one is Daphne, the golden d/s one is Ivy, and the grey one is Gypsy. I think theyre pretty cool names, don't you?!
Syxx is supposed to give birth tomorrow... fingers crossed!!!

Unfortunately Virgil didn’t pull through. Not sure what was wrong with him but mom kept giving him fluids and talking to him but he just went to sleep and never woke up. Although he was only with us for a short while he was loved by us all and I know mom was super excited to have him here.
He did breed with Syxx before he passed and their babies are due on 13 November. Hopefully there will be another yellow black male in there with his daddy’s personality. Of course he won’t take his dads place; he’s got some pretty big shoes to fill!
Another new girl came here today. She looks grey. I don’t know if she is Silver Grey or Light Grey. Mom said she will have to experiment to see for sure what she is. I guess that means there will be another male coming to the group?
This girl is super friendly! She came from a very large litter and isn't shy at all. I think this is why mom likes her so much.
Honey and Virgil’s mating didn’t take so Honey is in heat again. Mom wants to breed her to Charlie but is going to wait for Syxx’s litter to be weaned before doing that. I guess she said something about wanting to give Syxx’s litter as much attention as she can.
The mice babies are 5 days old and make all kinds of noise! They’re always crying about something. Daisy gives them all the attention in the world but they still cry. Guess mice babies are just loud.
So, we were keeping this a secret until it was confirmed, and we are still not 100% yet (even I am not sure), but mom bred me to Ralphie before he left for his new home. I guess she wanted his personality and color but not the long hair. She said she wanted a “mini Lola’” and I guess that’s how she made her decision. We should be able to tell for sure in the next couple of days. My due date will be the 15th if I am in fact pregnant. Only 5 more days!

Today mom brought home 2 new hamsters. One is a black banded female. We gave her a pretty warm welcome when we woke up and found her here. She is sweet. She’s pretty outgoing and doesn’t seem to fear anything so I’m sure she will do just fine here. I overheard mom saying that she is going to be Virgil’s new mate. I don’t know how Syxx is going to feel about that. The other new girl is a Golden Dominant Spot. She is shy but sweet. I think she will come out of her shell pretty soon and fit right in with us all.
Virgil is sick. We don’t know what is wrong but yesterday he was just fine, running in his wheel and making all kinds of noise over on his end of the room. Now he is sluggish and has just been sleeping curled up in his food bowl. He’s not responding to us when we call for him and when mom came in to see him he just laid there and barley moved when she touched him. He opened his eyes to look at her but curled back up into a tighter ball. I hope he is ok.
Not much else going on here today, it’s a pretty lazy day. Mom has been home all day and keeps coming in and checking on Virgil. She gave him some fluids in a dropper but he still just lays there. She has moved him out of his tank and into a smaller travel case.
I will keep you all updated with Virgil’s condition and the other news from the Hamstery.
